Mangano Calcite, aka Manganoan Calcite, is a manganese calcium form of calcite. It ranges in color from light to dark pink, which comes from its manganese content. Pink Calcite is often mistaken for Mangano Calcite as they share a similar molecular composition. True Magano Calcite must be composed of at least 30% manganese. This same mineral is what makes this stone vibrantly flouoresce under UV lights. It is associated with the Heart Chakra and invites comfort, peace, and love.
