What makes Almanac Supply Co. candles different
Our vegan candles are made 100% soy wax with high quality fragrance blends.
Soy wax is a vegetable based wax that is clean burning and produces very little soot. It melts at a lower temperature than paraffin wax which makes it easier to clean up if spilled and increases burn time by 50%
Our fragrance blends are non-toxic and phthalate free. They meet the most comprehensive, rigorous standards in the fragrance industry.
Excluded phthalates include, but are not limited to, BBP, DEHP, DBP, and DEP.

Best practices for burning your new candle for the first time
Make sure you burn your candle for 3-4 hours the first time around. You want to make sure your wax pool extends to both ends of the vessel before extinguishing to avoid tunneling. You should also be sure to trim your wick to 1/4". Check out this article on more tips for how to best burn a candle.

Safety tips for burning candles
Here are 6 helpful tips to ensure the safe use of our candle products.
- Once lit, the candle container can become quite warm. Please don’t touch or move the candle while burning. Please wait until the wax has hardened.
- Always keep an eye on your candle while burning. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Even though our candles can burn for long periods of time, we suggest that you only burn candles for 3-4 hours at a time.
- Never extinguish a flame with water. The water can cause the hot wax to splatter and also may cause the container to break. Not to mention ruining your lovely candle.
- Keep your candle clean. Trim your wick ¼ inch before every burn. Remove any used matches or wick trimmings from the candle. Trimming your wick every time will allow for a cleaner and more even burn.
- Avoid burning candles in drafty areas.
- Always keep your candle out of reach of small children, animals, and pyromaniacs.

Our customer service hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, excluding holidays. We answer all customer service emails within 2-3 business days.
International orders
We make every effort to cover the cost of international shipping in our initial invoice, but occasionally additional fees arise. You are responsible for any additional customs duties or other international fees. The carrier will contact you with instructions to pay any additional fees. Fees must be paid before or at the time of delivery per the carrier's policy to receive your package.

If you would like to return your international order, please visit our Returns + Refunds page for more information on how to return your order. We do not suggest returning international orders due to higher shipping costs and the possibility of additional fees. What to do if you entered the incorrect shipping address at checkout
Email us at hello@almanacsupplyco.com ASAP. If your order has not shipped, we are happy to update your shipping address. If your order has shipped, we are unable to make any changes to your order. Please contact the carrier for assistance – they may be able to reroute your package.
If your order is returned to our fulfillment center due to an incorrect address, we are happy to re-ship your order to an updated address. Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping even if the order qualified for free shipping originally. If you prefer a refund for your returned order, a refund will be issued for the total purchase price minus the original cost of shipping.
Holiday shipping
Each year, we do our best to create a U.S. holiday shipping deadline based on the estimates provided by all major shipping and logistics companies. While we can't guarantee delivery dates due to unforeseeable shipping delays, placing your order by this deadline gives you the best chance to receive your order before the holidays. Late or missing orders
Once your package has shipped, the order tracking and final delivery is unfortunately out of our control. Due to unexpected shipping delays, we cannot guarantee delivery dates at this time.
