Libyan Desert Glass, also known as Libyan Gold Tektite, is a unique and rare glass made of almost pure silica and found in the sandy dunes of Egypt. It is believed that it formed from an ancient meteorite impact like its famous cousin Moldavite, though this is highly debated among experts. It was revered by the pharaohs of ancient Egypt. An intricately carved pendant made of the glassy yellow material was even found in the tomb of King Tut!

Due to the nature of our products each piece is unique and therefore varies in shape and size. Our sizing of the stones is a close approximation.

We offer FREE SHIPPING on all domestic orders $75 and over. We also offer international shipping.

International orders may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, or other fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are not included in shipping and handling fees from Almanac Supply Co. and are the buyer’s responsibility.
