Black Moonstone is a feldspar mineral and can display chatoyancy or "flashing" similar to Labradorite. This dark variety was recently discovered in Madagascar. It is said to possess all of the energetic properties of Moonstone plus the additional grounding qualities found in other Root Chakra stones. Perfect for new moon rituals- Black Moonstone calms and gently grounds you as you prepare for new beginnings.
