In this hands-on workshop, Jessica will introduce you to the art of junk journaling, a wonderfully imperfect practice of layering paper, imagery, stickers, found objects, and little treasures into pages that are entirely your own. You’ll learn the basics of junk journaling along with Jessica’s tips and techniques for collage composition, then spend the afternoon creating your own pages.
Your ticket includes a copy of Jessica’s latest book, The Collector’s Curio: A Sticker Treasury, plus a sketchbook and all the materials you’ll need to create during the workshop. You’re also welcome to bring along your own paper scraps, photographs, ephemera, pressed botanicals, ticket stubs, or other treasures you’d like to work into your journal.
No experience is necessary. Whether you’re brand new to junk journaling or already have a well-loved collection of scraps and curiosities, this workshop is an invitation to gather, arrange, experiment, and make something wonderfully personal.
