Gnome
HELP US NAME THE GNOME!
From the very beginning, we knew a gnome would be a part of the Almanac family. So we got together with Chattanooga designer Eryn Garcia to create our gnome friend.
Now he needs a name! And since we can't decide (Norman? Gnomie? Simon?), we decided we'd ask for your help! Scroll down to submit your ideas.
ABOUT GNOMES
Small, stout beings known for their connection with nature, gnomes are recognized around the world as mythical creatures of wisdom and magic. Wise guardians of gardens, forests, and animals, gnomes are believed to live underground, guarding the treasures (aka knowledge) of the earth.
Modern garden gnomes were first created in the mid-1800s by Phillip Griebel in Germany. Keeping a gnome statue in your garden is believed to bring good luck to your harvest, and protection from pests, and possibly bringing a helping hand at night, too!
