Introduce yourself and tell us about the work that you do.
Hey I’m Courtney and my passions are plants and Mother Nature-themed gift products.
I spent over a decade building a bath and gift business and found myself spending more and more time in my garden to relax and decompress. Eventually, I started thinking about how I could incorporate my happy place into a new line of natural products to share with the world and that’s how Sow The Magic was born.
What do you love most about your work?
Creating new magical products is so much fun. It’s so satisfying to take a seed of an idea and go through the design and packaging process until one day you’re holding a new item that’s ready to share with the world. There’s a lot of problem-solving that happens along the way and the process keeps me busy in the best way. Sow The Magic has been so well received and when people show love for the new items it’s really rewarding.

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
My garden, my chickens and just being in nature is a huge source of happiness and inspiration for me. There’s a really soothing ritual in growing things that gives me a lot of great energy. Plus it’s just good to get dirt on your hands. After working in the mass gift market I really wanted to focus Sow The Magic on natural products that support positive rituals for others. I get a lot of inspiration from the act of creation. Whether it’s a moon planting calendar or a natural room tonic, I’m always trying to create things that boost other people’s rituals so they can find inspiration too
Have any words of advice you’d like to share?
Make sure to enjoy the journey! It’s easy to get overwhelmed and forget to celebrate the little joys of day-to-day life. Remember, there will ALWAYS be things to finish on your to-do list. Don’t be hard on yourself because time isn’t something you can get back.
