About the Position: Market Season Sales Associate

As a growing company, we are looking to add team members who are friendly, adaptable, environmentally-conscious, and who love to support local. Market Season Sales Associates are responsible for all things market related – packing and transporting market supplies and retail inventory, booth set up, managing a cash register quickly and accurately, learning and utilizing product details to guide shoppers, work area cleanliness, providing friendly customer service, booth breakdown, restocking supplies and retail inventory, and assisting with the on-demand needs of the company. Attention to detail is a must!

Qualifications

  • US work authorization
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for long periods (8 hours)
  • Ability work work outside in all types of weather
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to push and pull 50+ lbs
  • Must be available to work weekends on a regular basis
  • Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Essential job functions

  • Load market supplies and retail inventory
  • Follow market check-in procedures
  • Unload market supplies and retail inventory
  • Set up tent and display(s) to specifications
  • Provide a friendly and knowledgeable customer experience
  • Sell products and meet sales goals
  • Operate cash register, collect payments, and make change
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Break down and load tent, market supplies, and retail inventory
  • Follow the end of day market procedures
  • Unload market supplies and retail inventory
  • Restock and organize market supplies and retail inventory
  • Other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Previous retail experience (6 months min.)
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A caring attitude and attention to detail
